Bionaire BAP1550

All Bionaire air purifiers filter out pollens, dust mite debris, mould spores, pet dander and smoke. This helps relieve symptoms caused by airborne allergens. Symptoms include asthma, wheezing, coughing, rhinitis, sneezing, runny nose and eyes and even eczema. The washable pre-filter removes large particles so that the main filters stay cleaner longer.

The Bionaire 1550 can come with two Permanent HEPA-type filters or 2 HEPA/carbon filters. The Permanent HEPA-type filters, which need to be vacuumed to keep them clean and functioning optimally,  remove up to 99% of airborne particles down to two microns. Replace when necessary. 

The replaceable HEPA/Carbon type filters remove up to 99% of airborne particles down to two microns. The activated carbon part of the filters absorbs and eliminates odours and some chemicals. These should be replaced annually.

We base our room sizes on three air changes per hour, which may be different from that shown on the box.

 “Bought this product for my dad who smokes. Very happy with it so far and seems to be doing a good job at removing the smoke from the room. The remote control is handy for him to turn it off and on, as he is not very mobile. The only downside is that the machine no longer has the 'oscilating' function. Replacing the filters
In order for an air purifier to function effectively the machine must be kept clean and the filters replaced regularly and according to the manufacturer's instructions. The Permanent filter needs vacuuming regularly and can be replaced when necessary. The HEPA/carbon filters should be replaced annually.
