The mask is made of soft polyester polar fleece lined in 100% pure silk. It has adjustable latex-free ear loops.
The Cold Weather Mask helps protect you from respiratory problems caused by cold weather. It is perfect for walking, skiing or just playing outside in the winter months. Using these lovely polar fleece masks can make huge difference to cold air induced chest infections and respiratory problems.
The mask is equally suitable for anyone who feels the cold. It is made with an outer layer of warm polyester fleece and an inner lining of pure silk. It dries quickly and even allows for fog free eye glasses. The patented design wicks away dampness from the nose and mouth. Available in child (three to nine years) and adult sizes. The adult size mask is black fleece and the child's mask is grey as shown.
One customer told us that she had never believed in "catching your death of cold" until she found that her small son developed bronchitis whenever he was out in cold weather and it sometimes worsened into pneumonia. Wearing a soft fleecy silk lined mask is much easier than trying to keep a scarf covering your nose and mouth.
Hand wash in cool water with an unscented detergent that does not leave a residue to clog the filter. Do not rub as rubbing could rearrange the weave of the natural silk fabric lining. Rinse well. To dry the mask quickly, roll it in a terry cloth towel. Alternatively, hang the mask to dry.
Frequency of washing depends upon humidity, activity, and grit in the air. If breathing through the mask becomes difficult or you begin to feel a burning sensation in your chest, remove your mask and wash it. Do not dry clean. As the mask ages (washed about sixty times), the filtration becomes more "efficient," meaning it needs to be washed more often--about every two to three hours instead of four to six hours of wearing time.
"I wore this mask, all through last winter. I found it extremely good and much easier to wear then a scarf round my face which kept slipping off. You need to get the nose piece right or glasses will mist up but other then that its brilliant. Very soft against the face. Make sure after washing it is completely dry - it takes two days on a radiator."
