Stainless Steel Gravity Water Filter Replacement Filters

With Standard Filters
The Gravity Water Filter Standard will remove in excess of 97% of free chlorine, 99.999% of pathogenic organisms such as bacteria: E-coli, cholera, typhoid and cysts: cryptosporidium and giardia. The Super SterasylTM filters will also reduce chemicals - see the Filtration tab.
With Heavy Metal Filters
The Gravity Water Filter with Heavy Metal Filters will remove all of the above contaminants plus heavy metals.
The Super SterasylTM filters
The capabilities of Super SterasylTM filter candles used in the Gravity Water Filter are as follows:
Chlorine - >97%
Sediment, rust and particles - >99.7%
Bacteria - >99.99%
(E. Coli, Vibrio Cholerae (cholera), Shigelia, Salmonella Typhi ((Typhoid), Klebsiella Terrigena)
Cyst removal
(Cryptosporidium, Giardia) - >99.99%
Trace organic removal - The Super SterasylTM will reduce the following chemicals but the filter candles have not been tested by the NSF for removal of these chemicals so % figures are not given.

Heavy Metal Filter Candle
This filter has all the specifications of the Super Sterasyl filter above with added filtration to remove heavy metals. It will remove all heavy metals but with a higher specification for lead. This means that lead takes priority and if there is only a small amount of lead it will also remove other heavy metals.
Replacing the filters
The filters in the Gravity Water Filter will need replacing every six months for four people in the house and every nine months for two people.

It is important to replace the filter candles in your water filter system on a regular basis. When you purchase your water filter we will put your name onto our filter reminder service so that you can keep your water filter functioning effectively. We offer this service for the drinking water systems, the wholehouse systems, the shower filters and the Crystal Ball Bath Dechlorinator.
