The Virus Washer uses the power of water to clean the air of viruses in the room. An electrical charge is passed through tap water in the small container and an ultrasonic vibrator is used to generate a fine long lasting disinfectant mist that is dispersed from the top, the left and the right of the Virus Washer. The electrolysed water suppresses viruses by destroying the surface protein or spikes on the surface of the virus. It controls pollen by wrapping around the pollen and deforming the surface and removes odours by wrapping around and decomposing the odour molecules, including nitrous oxide from exhaust fumes and formaldehyde.
The five high performance filters then act on the washed contaminants.
1. The washable pre-filter removes large particles such as lint.
2. The allergy-blocking disinfectant filter uses a synthetic enzyme equivalent to
those found in the human body to suppress mould and trapped bacteria
by 99%, dust mite faeces by 98% and pollen by 99%.
3. The HEPA Filter traps 99.97% of fine particles measuring 0.3 microns.
This includes bacteria, mould spores, dust mite faeces and pollen.
4. A Nanotech (microscopic) activated carbon deodorizing filter captures and
removes odours including tobacco, pets, ammonia and formaldehyde
5. A Catechin disinfectant filter is formulated with the antibacterial agent
containing Catechin. Catechin is known to reduce moulds, bacteria and viruses.
Catechin is a natural substance and constitutes 25% of the dry weight of tea.
Controls airborne viruses, pollen, and allergens. The hydroxyl radicals and hypochlorous acid contained in electrolyzed tap water work together to destroy the spikes on the surface of the virus. This allows it to wrap around, disinfect, and deodorize airborne viruses, bacteria and mold, as well as pollen, dust mite faeces and shells, and odour molecules. The wide, multi-directional air intake powerfully collects dust as well. The trapped odours and contaminants are removed in micro-sized units by a 5-layer filter that includes an allergy-blocking, disinfectant HEPA filter.

| There are many objects in the room, like tables and sofas, that obstruct the flow of air. To resolve this problem, SANYO uses a system that disperses electrolytic mist in three directions, upward, to the left, and to the right. This long-lasting disinfectant mist envelops the room to reach every spot, even areas adjacent to furniture. | |
