The capabilities of Super SterasylTM filter candles are as follows:

Sediment, rust and particles - >99.7%
Pathogenic Organisms:
Bacteria - >99.99%
(E. Coli, Vibrio Cholerae (cholera), Shigelia, Salmonella Typhi ((Typhoid), Klebsiella Terrigena)
Cyst Removal
(Cryptosporidium, Giardia) - >99.99%
Trace Organic Removal - The Super SterasylTM will reduce the following chemicals but the filter candles have not been tested by the NSF for removal of these chemicals so % figures are not given.

Atrazine

Heavy Metal Filter Candles
This filter has all the specifications of the Super Sterasyl filter above with the added filtration to remove heavy metals. It will remove all heavy metals but with a higher specification for lead. This means that lead takes priority and if there is only a small amount of lead it will also remove other heavy metals.
