The Roomaid is made of rolled steel and has a three stage filtration system:
Stage 1. The washable foam pre-filter removes large dust particles.
Stage 2. The HEPA filter removes dust, pollen, bacteria, animal dander, attached viruses, cigarette smoke and radon daughters.
Stage 3. The stage three carbon and zeolite filter removes odours and chemicals as well as hazardous VOCs which may off gas from products made with chemicals such as cleaners, paints, carpets and furniture.
The HEPA filter will last between 2 - 5 years and needs no maintenance. The VOC filter should be replaced every 6 - 12 months and the outer filter can be washed when necessary and replaced.
This small unit which is ideal for use in a small office or bedroom (9 sq m) is very quiet on the low setting - ideal for both the removal of chemicals and airborne particles. It measures 21.5cm in diameter x 22.5cm high and weighs 2.25kg.
HEPA filtration
The HEPA filter is 99.97% effective at removing particles down to 0.3 microns in one pass and 99% effective at removing particles down to 0.1 micron. The carbon filter helps to remove odours and the HEPA filter removes dust, animal dander, hair, mould spores and other airborne particles. The carbon and zeolite filter should be replaced every 12 months, the HEPA filter should be replaced once every 1 - 2 years. The air volume output will begin to decrease when the HEPA filter needs to be changed. The Roomaid has HEPA filtration and is quiet on a low setting. Available in white only.
