Ecos Three Tier System for Untreated Wood

The three tier system for untreated wood consists of the High Opacity Wood Primer, the Ecos Undercoat in Grey or White and the Gloss interior/exterior paint. Filler should be covered with Filler sealer.

Delivery
The delivery charge on paint and all Ecos products is £9.40 per 20 litres or part thereof. If the order exceeds 20 litres carriage will be charged in multiples of £9.40. If a single litre is ordered £7.05 carriage will be charged. Please note that the delivery charge for paint will not show up on your shopping total, but will be calculated for you in the office based on the above. Allow 3 - 4 working days for delivery although most orders will arrive in 24 - 48hrs. Please phone for delivery charges to the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland or anywhere off the mainland.

High Opacity Wood Primer
For use on interior and exterior bare wood. Coverage is approximately 12 sq m per litre per coat. Follow with Ecos undercoat

Undercoat
For use on interior and exterior primed woodwork and bare metals including iron and steel but not copper or brass. Coverage is approximately 12 sq m per litre per coat. Cover with Ecos gloss or satin gloss.

Gloss and Satin Gloss Interior/Exterior
For use on interior and exterior woodwork and primed or previously painted metal. Ecos gloss will key to most finishes but a test area is advisable. On bare wood use the three tier system - high opacity wood primer, undercoat and then the gloss or satin gloss. On previously painted wood, bare iron or steel, prepare with Ecos undercoat. For knots treat with Shellac Knotting and for filler, treat with Ecos Filler Sealer. Coverage is approximately 10 sq m per litre per coat on hard, non-porous surfaces. Best results can normally be achieved with two coats. The satin gloss is slightly less shiny than the gloss. Please state gloss or satin gloss
