The Basic Range contains air purifiers that all have a true HEPA filter, a carbon filter and either a UV light or an ioniser.
The true HEPA filter will remove airborne particles down to 0.3 microns. This is the industry standard for the removal of a wide range of particles such as pollen, mould spores, dust mites and their faeces and some bacteria.
The basic carbon filter will adsorb organic smells and smoke. This type of filter is very poor at removing formaldehyde and other VOCs.
Some of these machines have an ion generator that will produce negative ions that cause positively charged particles to be attracted to the nearest surface.
Other machines have a UV light that will kill bacteria and viruses.
These units are good all round machines that can be used in living areas or in kitchens to clean the air of small particles and basic chemicals and smells like cooking odours, organic smells, and smoke.
