Drinking Cranberry juice has long been recommended for combatting urinary tract infections. Scientists have recently found that adding Cranberry juice to intestinal viruses in laboratory conditions blocked the ability of the virus to infect cells. The research, by St Francis College in New York, was presented to the American Society for Microbiology.
