Despite the description of "fragrance free" on some readily available cosmetic products, a recent article explains why some products could be causing problems for those with an allergy or sensitivity to fragrance. The fact that some perfumed ingredients can be used if they are included in the products as a preservative rather than as a fragrance could be misleading to those searching for truly fragrance free products. Apparently ethaline bracelate and benzyl alcohol both contain fragrance and are both used as preservatives. Some products also contain coriander, cardamon and myrrh which act as preservatives but we would normally categorise as essential oils. Our fragrance free products contain none of these ingredients.
