Apologies to those of you who have had to wait an extra day or so for your orders. Quite simply, we have been snowed in and at the same time snowed under with orders. Our dedicated sales staff have made it to work every day bar one, and Tony, who does the packing, has walked over 2 miles in the snow and ice to be here to pack parcels. But, Royal Mail and the courier service have not been able to get here and when you see the photograph of the road you will certainly know why. Our office is in a wonderful spot overlooking the Ruscombe Valley. On greener days we watch the deer and the rabbits enjoying the fields and the hawks circling overhead. On snowy days we watch all the children enjoying their days away from school, toboganning and building snow men. For many of these children snow like this is a complete novelty. Our fellow villagers seem thrilled with the white valley, the change in routine and the improved sense of community - helping a neighbour dig his car out or push it up the hill or joining forces to do a bit of snow shovelling. The thaw has started but the valley is still white. Royal Mail and DPD are back en route so your orders should be with you any day. Thank you for your understanding. If you are not snowed in yourself it can be more difficult to understand!
