Here at The Healthy House, we have an Ultra Carb under-sink water filter used to make tea and coffee for the 7 staff. Here’s what our filter looked like after four months’ use when we changed it on June 11th:
Now for the technical bit!
The outer ceramic casing has a very small pore size that will filter particles as well as bacteria and viruses. The internal core is activated carbon that will remove chlorine, pesticides, herbicides, other organic compounds and heavy metals.
The office verdict? Even though the filter hadn’t been changed for four months, the water still tasted much better than normal tap water.
