New reseach has identified over 182 species of bacteria living on our skin. Not a pleasant thought really, but don't go off and scrub yourself with disinfectant because some of this is actually good for us. What is interesting is that three quarters of these bacteria are individual to the person tested, and some of it appears to come and go while other bacteria remains static. There seems to be a whole microscopic world just crawling around on our skin.
